Hi friends! I have not been on social media much t Hi friends! I have not been on social media much this last year, but I know many of you have reached out about the recent hurricane-level storm in Bemidji. (A “derecho” apparently its called. Who knew?) I appreciate so much every message, call, and text. ❤️ Yes, we got hit pretty hard. The photo with me in it is of our grove, which had been a thick stand of rows upon rows of pine trees. Now, you can see bare patches where trees were ripped out of the ground, and the bent ones that will need to be cut down for safety. We continue to clean and mill wood every day. It’s a marathon, not a sprint. We are ok. And grateful no one got hurt. But of course, we are sad. The trees were what we loved about our home. And what we based our entire business model off of. Speaking of: if you want to see more photos, be sure to follow our woodworking business, @enger_grove , where my husband is much better than I at posting updates. 😏
Lilly’s 5th birthday was yesterday. And boy, had Lilly’s 5th birthday was yesterday. And boy, had she been counting down the days! She is fiercely feminine, determined and independent. An “I can do it myself, mom” kind of kid. 😂 (I wonder where she gets that…🤔 🤷🏼‍♀️) Lilly, you keep our world bright and beautiful! I love you! 💕😘

I love watching you figure out your own special methods for how to navigate the world. And of course, my day will always be improved by that smile that calls up admiring strangers in parking lots and checkout lines. Happy birthday! 🎂
